Step 1.
Scheduling Your Session
In order to reserve your date, I'll email over a contract and quote, as well as a questionnaire to help me get to know you better. I only take on 8 sessions per month, to allow flexibility for babies that arrive early or late, or for rescheduling outdoor sessions due to bad weather.
Outdoor sessions take place around 1 hour before sunset. Home sessions usually start from 10am.
You'll be able to pay the $300 session fee online, and that will secure your date on my calendar. The session fee does not apply to the final purchase and does not include any digital files or products. Those are purchased in Step 4 when you choose your collection.
Step 2.
Planning Your Session
Now that you're booked in, it's time to have some fun planning your session!
If your session is outdoors, you will receive my Location Guide, to help you decide on a location that you love and that suits your family.
I'll send you my Style Guide and Client Wardrobe, where you are welcome to borrow any items at no additional cost. Closer to your session, I'll send you my Session Guide, to help you prepare and know what ato expect during our time together.
You can also start to think how about you will want to see your images in your home. My aim it to make this part of your experience as easy and stress-free as possible, so you can just look forward to your session. If at any point you have questions or need advice, just reach out!
Step 3.
The Session Itself
Sessions with me are relaxed, full of genuine emotions and a time where you can be your true self. I am not going to ask you to look at the camera and smile - in fact the opposite! Of course, I will give you some gentle direction, but for the most part, I just want you to focus on, and connect, with each other.
If there are kids included in the session, I will do my best to build trust with them throughout the session. I definitely don't pressure them into anything they don't want to do, but they are genuinely pretty interested in new babies. If we are at an outdoors session, I like to say that they are 'leading' the session; If they want to explore - explore with them. If they want to play - play with them! Try to take off your parenting hat and see the world through their eyes. We will capture natural moments and their true personality. Then, they usually become tired and want some cuddles towards the end, which are my favourite images to capture!
Step 4.
The Fun Part!
Don't worry, you don't have to pick a collection until after you see your photos. 2 weeks after your session, your slideshow will be ready! You'll have 24 hours to view it over and over, from the comfort of your home, and choose your collection to purchase.
You'll notice each collection has a set number of digital files and a generous print credit to display your beautiful new photos. Once you've picked your collection, you will have a full month to select which specific digital files and print items you wish to use to fill that collection.

Print credit has no cash value and cannot be deducted from the collection price.
What you're going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photo session, but it's all too often the aspect that's overlooked...all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection. Circular Framed Prints

Lay-flat Album
These beautifully handcrafted albums are printed on fine art matte paper, with thick, lay-flat pages. Cover choices include linen or printed. 10 spreads (20 pages) are included in the price and additional spreads can be added for $25 each.
