A relaxed lifestyle session in your home. Usually held between 7-14 days old. We'll capture baby on their own, as well as with all other immediate family members.

Messy, beautiful, real life | $690

A family lifestyle session where we capture a slice of your ordinary daily lives, within your walls, where your life unfolds. Whether it's cuddling in bed for story time or cooking together in the kitchen. These photographs will evoke real memories. A window into your past.

BEFORE THE SESSION

How do I book a session?

Click on the 'Contact' tab at the top of the page and complete the form. I aim to reply within 24 business hours.

Where are you located and is there a travel fee?

I live in Googong, NSW. I have several locations throughout Canberra and surrounds that I use and am familiar with. If you wish to use a different location or if we are doing an in-home session and your home is more than 40km away from me, further travel fees may apply.

Is there a booking deposit?

A 50% retainer is required to secure your booking and your date is not secured until this payment has been received. The retainer goes towards your total session price. The remainder of your session is due 7 days prior to your session.

What times are available?

If you have chosen an outdoor session, this will typically start 1 hour prior to sunset. This time changes depending on the season. If we are doing an indoor session then this is more flexible but will typically be scheduled for mid-morning. If you require a specific time, let me know, and we can absolutely work something out.

DURING THE SESSION

What happens during a session?

For an outdoor session, we will meet at your chosen location and then walk around the area as we chat and take some photos. We will shoot right up until the sun sets and then for a short time after in the softer light. For in-home sessions, once I arrive, I will find the areas with the best quality light for photos; typically we use the master bedroom and living room.

I will gently direct you throughout the session and empower you to just be yourself and relax. Definitely no awkward smiles whilst looking at the camera. If your child is upset then give them cuddles. If they are off on an adventure, explore with them. I want to capture you and your loved ones exactly as you are, whatever that looks like.

What do we wear?

Earthy tones and neutrals are best. Avoid bright colours, heavy stripes, logos, pictures or text. You don't need to be in matching colours, just tones that compliment each other. You also don't need to dress formal, just be yourself and be comfortable as this will help you to relax in front of the camera and just focus on each other.

Do we bring anything?

There is nothing that you need to bring, however, if there is something that you want to be included in the photos, please bring it along.

I tend to shoot as we walk, so I encourage you to leave everything you don't need in the car, including sunnies, wallet and phone. You can put your car keys in my bag. Make sure your pockets are empty so they don't look bulky in the photos.

What if it rains or we are sick?

I usually don't make the call to reschedule until the morning of the session, as forecasts are always changing. I will keep in contact with you leading up to your session if it is looking like we might need to reschedule. If it is heavy rain, strong wind or storms, then we can discuss a change of date that is suitable for us both. However, If it's just a light drizzle, then I tend to go ahead. I have had some amazing sessions with storm clouds in the background and windswept hair, so I encourage you to be open-minded.

If either you or myself become unwell for the date of your session, we will reschedule to another date that is suitable for us both.

AFTER THE SESSION

When & how do I receive my images?

Within 3 weeks after your session, you will receive an email with your private online gallery, at which stage you will choose the images you wish to keep. You will be provided the option to upgrade your package to keep more images. Once your favourites are finalised, I will complete further detail editing on your images. No later than 6 weeks after your session, you will receive your final images ready for download in both high and web resolution.

Do you offer any print products?

Yes! You can order your print products, including individual prints, frames, canvas and albums directly within your online gallery! Super easy!

Will I get black & white photos as well as colour?

All of your images will be delivered in your online gallery in colour. I will also provide a 'black and white' version for what I believe to be your best images, as well as images that I simply think look great as a 'black and white'. If there is an image you would like me to edit in 'black and white', no problem!
